Neila Wilson served in the U.S. Air Force from 1993-1997 as a telephone and data circuitry specialist. She received her BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1998 and her MBA from Rollins Crummer College of Winter Park, FL in 2005. She is also persuing her MS in Information Technology Analytics with Kaplan Univeristy. Neila is currently the Manager of Technology Management for CenturyLink. She has been in the telecommunications industry for 25 years and with CenturyLink for 15 years.
Neila has spent the last four years working with the development of standardized API’s for service activation and performance reporting, between the Orchestration Network Management Layer and the Domain Controllers, at the Element Management Layer. Her work involved eleven vendor platforms that leveraged CE2.0 standards for Ethernet, Performance and Optical Wave Services.
CenturyLink successfully completed Beta trials of the service automation from the Business Management Layer through the full system stack, to the customer. She now oversees the support of all transport and high-bandwidth domain controller’s, with involvement for API development of SDN/NFV controllers and the SD-WAN services.
